Discovery
During the first stage of development, we study our client - the company's history, products, goals, strengths, and competition. We analyze our client's current and future audiences, marketing strategies, and business opportunities. We ask questions and challenge assumptions, and learn as much as we can about the project needs. At the close of this stage, we prioritize goals and define the project scope and deliverables.
Concept
We start the concept stage with an open period of exploration, brainstorming, inventing and testing new ideas. These ideas roll into a series of creative approaches to the interface design. Working flexibly with our clients, we turn the best concepts into a final interface and design direction. We constantly reference the project goals and requirements to ensure that the design satisfies all criteria.
Design
The design stage is the time to thoroughly develop and test all those good-looking ideas from the concept stage. We collaborate with our clients to incorporate any additional suggestions, comments or concepts to the original UI specifications and interaction design material. We facilitate and participate in user testing and feedback. At the end of this stage, all the interface design and functionality decisions are locked down.
Production
At this point we identify all art assets required for the design to be integrated into code, and create final art files for each component. Deliverables include backgrounds, type specifications, icons, and all UI-related components. We hand final templates and assets over to the production team, or we build, test and deliver the project to the client.
